Flower Market

I have a confession to make.  This was actually the first painting of the year even though I choose to post it on day 2.  Since I hadn't painted in so long, I decided to watch a painting video to get rolling.  The video was by one of my favorite teachers, Ann Templeton.  I know her spirit was with me as I made this attempt.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to the New Year!  I am so excited to share this year with you from our new (renovated) home on the lake! Last year was extremely busy with the move and many other life issues.   Our family had two losses that will change us forever.  I had very little painting time.  It has been months since I was able to pick up a brush.  So I am full of excitement to settle our life down and start working in my new studio.  I am not sure where this will lead me but I am on my way!  My goal for this challenge is to find the child in me while  improving my skills.  Please come along for the ride!

Sandcastle

It seems that no matter how old you are building a sandcastle brings out the child in you.

Orange Lake

Day 2

Every time you turn your head you see a different view that would make a painting.
I loved the warm colors against the cool background.

Eagles Nest Cafe on Orange Lake

30 Paintings in 30 days
September 1, 2015

This is the beginning of a new painting challenge. There have been many life changes for me since the January challenge.  We have purchased another home and are working on renovations and moving.  I know this challenge will force me to pick up the brush, which I am yearning to do. So here we go...
This little 3 inch by 9 inch was done out back of the Eagles Nest Cafe looking out on Orange Lake. A storm was brewing and this was the last light of the evening. Raindrops got on it before I packed up.

30 PAINTINGS IN 30 DAYS

This has been another wonderful month of exploration in my painting world.  Thank you, Leslie Saeta, for hosting another event!  It has pushed us farther than we would have gone alone!  My blog has been viewed over 4,000 times since I started in September from thirteen different countries!  I can't believe people from Norway, France, Russia, Germany, Sweden, Canada, United Kingdom, Brazil, Finland, Poland, Turkey, Ireland, and the U.S.A. have viewed my work.  That is such an honor!
I am so grateful to all the friends and family who have followed along and encouraged me along the way!  Your love and friendship mean the world to me!
Thank you for taking the time to view my art! Please feel free to comment or share this post.
